Once upon a time. In a dense forest, there lived a clever fox. He was very intelligent, but also a little selfish. In that forest, there also lived a cheerful and fun-loving monkey. The monkey was very innocent and kind.

One day, the monkey was sitting on a tree and eating sweet fruits. A fox passing by saw him and thought, "This monkey is having fun, if he makes me his friend too, I will get some fruit someday."

The fox went to the monkey and talked sweetly.
"Friend, you seem very happy. Shall we become friends?"

The monkey was happy.
"Yes, why not! Friendship is the greatest treasure of life."

In this way, friendship developed between the two.

Days began to pass. Every day, the monkey brought fruit for the fox and both of them sat and ate together. The fox was happy inside that he was getting food easily.

One day, a big storm came in the forest. The wind started blowing hard, the trees started shaking. The monkey got scared.

The fox said, "Don't be afraid, friend, I am with you."

Both of them took shelter under a strong tree. After the storm calmed down, the monkey said,
"Today I realized that a true friend helps in trouble."

The fox felt a little ashamed, because he had not become a true friend, he was only taking advantage.

After a few days, a hunter came to the forest. He laid a trap. The monkey got caught in that trap.

The monkey started shouting for help,
"Friend fox! Save me!"

He hesitated for a while. But then he remembered the monkey's true friendship.

He took courage and started cutting the net. Meanwhile, the hunter was returning.

The monkey was happy and said,
"Today you saved my life! You are a true friend."

The fox said humbly,
"Forgive me, friend, I used to become a friend only to take advantage. But now I understand the meaning of true friendship."
